My Education Lab Is for college students only.
    By World Creator Tara
I was so excited to get this book when it arrived because I looked forward to the video examples provided by MyEducationLab. I spent $100 in total to get it. To my great disappointment Pearson informed me even tho I have a brand new purchased book and access code I must be registered in a college class to see any of these video clips of the demonstrations. Don't know if I can get the access purchase price back. But the issue is more I wanted to see the arts-based literacy in action. Very very disappointed...

Excellent ideation, frame work and resource for integrating the arts in the elementary curriculum.
    By Henry Hawkins
Creating Meaning through Literature and the Arts: Arts Integration in the Elementary Curriculum is a watershed of knowledge, strategies and resources for any educator, wishing to know and understand what arts integration is all about. I like the fact that the book is designed to assist the reader in developing his/her own teaching practice of arts integration into the curriculum at a very high level. This book reminded me of the things I have come to know through the experience of 39 years as an artist educator, but more over, it has made clearer the powerful humanizing effect of the arts on subject matter and the teaching and learning process. This book will certainly bring you up to speed and prepare you to take control of your own professional development and teaching in the area of arts integration. It will as well lay a foundation and the groundwork for developing an art infused curriculum that draws students to wanting to know from a stance of intrinsic motivation, (What is it being taught?). This book is the holy grail, no other arts integration book I have read, commands the respect of the subject and those affected by it.

Creating Meaning through Literature and the Arts
    By Sharon Doyle
I bought this book used and found that I cannot get access to the online examples. The book description didn't alude to this. Contacting the publisher has been useless, as well. Great book, but a real shame the upgrade to use technology is not easily accessible. You may as well buy the earlier edition at a cheaper price or buy the book brand new, but I am a little afraid to go to the expense if the publisher is not willing to provide support.
