Only McGill feels Pruet is holding out on him. Something more than finding a masterpiece is at stake here. Something that, oddly enough, might tie in with the attempt on the president’s life.

A favorite series

I am new to Mr. Flynn's books and I am so glad I was led to him. I saw a book of his on either Book Bub or Gorilla books, can't remember which, but it was the second book of the Henchman series. Being a little obsessive, I like to read my book series in order, so I found the first book at a used book dealer on Amazon. I fell in love with the characters, the idea of a first man, and the way Mr. Flynn tells a story.
Now having finished this latest book in the series, I can't wait for more. I hope there will be more. I am really attached to the characters, and I love the way that even if a particular character is not attached to the main story in the book, you still get to enjoy them doing something!!
This particular book was so much fun, different stories circling around each other, all coming to conclusions that were more than satisfactory ( with one loose end left open, next book maybe?)
I look forward to delving into Mr. Flynn's other books.

joe did it again

i have read the previous 4 McGill books and loved them all. this 5th book in the series, is obviously in my opinion, the best yet.
I got so caught up in the first chapter, my blood pressure must have shot up 30 points, it was so exciting. I couldn't put the dang thing down. I sent joe an email telling him he should have forewarned me that it was gonna be a b.p. raising chapter. all that read "devil on the door stop" will absolutely love it. so exciting you won't be able to put it down.. joe's knowledge and research of art, government etc is amazing. perhaps I am just na�ve!!!
bottom line is this: joe did it again only better. I heartily recommend all of his books but my favorite by far are the McGill series and to state that I agree with all those readers that say "joe, write faster".

First Rate Mystery/Political/Action Series

Read all 5 of the Jim McGill series and found them fun, fast-paced and interesting. Recommend one read from the first to the last as there are cliff-hangers and unresolved issues ending each of the first four books. Plus, character development and history build from book to book. Although the author does put in a short character summary for some in subsequent books, much better to read the series in sequence.
For someone looking for a good week-off reading break, these books are fun!! I read all five in 7 days. Yes, I read a lot of my waking time but why not.
