Great Book - The Kindle version appears not to be as complete as the hard copy

I purchased the Kindle version. The book is a great study guide that follows the class. I would give the book 5 stars - however - the Kindle version of the book is not complete. For example, there are study guides that are accessible via a web site. To access the guides, you need to refer to the back of the book for a code. The Kindle version does not have this (or I could not locate it). I have sent one of the authors an email to see if I could access the guide but have not heard back.

Descent Study Guide

I found this to be a good study guide, in combination with other resources. The book was much too short and light on some topics to be your only source for the exam. Practical experience and a firm knowledge of all topics, especially encryption and the TCP, IP, and UDP protocols are a must.

Good book as a supplemental study guide

This book was ok. It should not be used as the Primary study guide for the exam. I used the All-In-One CEH study guide by Matt Walker which I felt did a much better job explaining in detail the topics. The Official review guide however did go into a few areas that the Walker's book omitted, which is ok because the version I took didn't cover them anyway. Overall, the book is ok but I would only use this as a supplementary study guide to another form of studying.

Salman Akhtar, M.D., is Professor of Psychiatry at Jefferson Medical College, Lecturer on Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and Training and Supervising Analyst at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Institute. He is the Book Review Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies, an associate edi-tor of the Journal of Psychotherapy Practice and Research, member of the editorial board of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association, past member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Psycho-Analysis, and an editorial reader for Psychoanalytic Quarterly. He is the author of Broken Structures: Severe Personality Disorders and Their Treatment (1992) and Quest for Answers: A Primer for Understanding and Treating Severe Personality Disorders (1995). His more than 130 scientific publications also include thirteen edited or co-edited books. Dr. Akhtar is the recipient of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association's Award (1995) and the Margaret Mahler Literature Prize (1996), and was named the 1998 Clinician of the Year by IPTAR, New York. He has also published five volumes of poetry

A special book indeed!

I see this book as narratives of a person who is not only a poet, academician & therapist but also has experienced the psychological stages one goes through during immigration & acculturation. Being an eminent psychoanalyst & prolific writer, Dr. Akhtar's books are always wonderful reads. Being an immigrant psychistrist & psychotherapist, I think I live through the pages of this book & thank him profusely for writing this masterpiece.

Wonderful food for thought abounds in this book, with clinical examples to support theories and themes. This book is helpful in framing treatment issues that arise when working with individuals in psychotherapy (with any kind of psychological distress) who are immigrants in America and elsewhere.

Insightful! Captivating! Couln't put it down!

A note at the end of the book reads as follows: "This story came to me under peculiar circumstances. It is printed as told by Ahrinziman himself, but the names of the characters are purely fictitious and have no claim to historical accuracy." This outstanding book presents "The philosophy of Ahrinziman, the Persian -- what life hath taught him of the Soul; life lived on Earth and life of ages in the Abyss and in the Heavens of the Beyond." The captivating tale of Ahrinziman's journey is written in a beautiful metaphoric style that enthralled me. Moreover, what I found awe-inspiring was Ahrinziman's remarkable insight into a wide spectrum of feelings and emotions and his ability to articulate them so eloquently, as well as his vast spiritual knowledge, acquired alongside entities good and evil, incarnate and discarnate.

I have read numerous books on the afterlife. Some were purely informative, often written in a plain, unimaginative style. Only a few were works of art. The Strange Story of Ahrinziman has it all. It is the best book I have read on the subject, followed by A Wanderer in the Spirit Lands, by Franchezzo. I highly recommend these two extraordinary books.

In this radically revisionist reading of the life and political career of Enoch Powell, Camilla Schofield follows Powell's trajectory from an officer in the British Raj to the centre of British politics and then his turn to Ulster Unionism.
